We just returned back after a wonderful vacation in Cyprus. We stayed in Polis, near where Aphrodite was born from the sea. We really did not flirt with her much, because our biggest goal was to chill out and not do much.
Rob was really able to enjoy the swimming pool. It was the first time in his recovery that he was able to swim and feel the healing effects of water. I was also able to get in a short scuba dive, which was really fun after not having done it for many years.
Rob was also able to try out an electric scooter, which he did great at. Other than me needing to sometimes chase after him running it was a really good way to get around.
The place we stayed at, C & A Apartments, is totally adapted for physical limitations. The owner Chris and his family are wonderful hosts and made us feel welcome and relaxed the whole time. We ate many excellent meals with the family and other guests — the food from Eva’s kitchen was outstanding!
We are already making plans to return next year and will probably go with our friends Gera and Mawela who turned us on to C & A. Here are a few other photo’s:
