  3. Hello Rob,

    Like fine wine you’re improving with age.
    Looks like the rehab place is near the water and you’ll have some good scenery to look at. I’m glad your dog stopped by for another visit- Man’s best friend, sometimes only friend.

    Today was a football Saturday here in Ann Arbor. They jam 107,000 people into that stadium. It’s great when the game starts, because the rest of the town becomes a ghost town and I can do lots of errands. It’s a beautiful fall day with the leaves beginning to change colors.

    I don’t do too well at singing, so here’s a poem for you from a book my parents gave me a long time ago. It’s by Frank L. Stanton.

    Keep a-Goin’

    If you strike a thorn or rose,
    Keep a-goin’!
    If it hails or if it snows,
    Keep a-goin’!
    “Taint no use to sit an ‘whine
    When the fish ain’t on your line;
    Bait your hook an’ keep a-tryin’-
    Keep a-goin’!

    When the weather kills your crop,
    Keep a-goin’!
    Though tis work to reach the top,
    Keep a-goin’!
    S’pose you’re out o’ ev’ry dime,
    Gittin’ broke ain’t any crime;
    Tell the world you’re feelin’ prime-
    Keep a-goin’!

    When it looks like all is up,
    Keep a-goin’!
    Drain the sweetness from the cup,
    Keep a-goin’!
    See the wild birds on the wing,
    Hear the bells that sweetly ring,
    When you feel like surgin’, sing-
    Keep a-goin’!

    Bye for now…
    JT
