Rob is leaving the hospital for rehab this week!

Yipee! Rob is leaving the hospital on Thursday (17 September) for rehabilitation. He is so happy to be getting the hell out of there.  It will be the end of his 14th week by then — over 3 months!

P9140009As you can imagine, we had a nice celebration after we heard the news. Jansen and our friend Rob Vermeer were also able to share the fun with us.

Rob had a good face licking by Jansen, but I figure it can’t do him any more harm than all the germs floating around the hospital.

    Wonderful, wonderful news! Best wishes on your move to Rehab today, the final stage towards your full recovery, which we know you’ll do as you have proven how strong & determined you both are!     Congratulations on getting spring from the Hospital. 11 weeks I cannot imagine. Good luck with Re-hab and do all the exercises and it will be over before you know it.

    Hey Rob, you are going so fast now since you left that ICU…
    Congratulations for you and Elly on this real big step forward.
    Have a nice trip to Wijk aan Zee, and don’t forget your red swimmers, you may need them on the beach!

    I’m so glad things are progressing so rapidly! You’ll be back home in no time. Just goes to show how strong you two are.
